We remind you of the tradition of selecting the next organizing team and conference location during the Conference Dinner, and invite all interested groups to prepare their bids. There will be opportunity to give a short presentation of TRISTAN VIII proposals during the Excursion on Wednesday, and try to convince everybody before the vote on the next TRISTAN island. The vote itself will take place during the Conference Dinner on Thursday evening.

As you will see from the program, the Midnight Session will take place on Monday June 21. This is a change from the orignal information. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The schedule of sessions and talks has been announced, see 'Program'. An electronic version of the full program will soon be available.

Until April 22, the full registration fee will be refunded, minus an administration fee of NOK 500. After April 22, there will be no refunds.

Until now we have more than160 registrations. We remind you that there is a limited number of hotel rooms. The registration fee will increase substantially after April 15.

It seems that some authors still have not received the notification email. They should check their spam filter and also add  to the safe senders list.  If the notification email is still missing, the Organizing Committee should be contacted as soon as possible.

Due to the generous financial support from EUME http://webhost.ua.ac.be/eume/
the Organizing Committee will support the participation of some PhD students at TRISTAN VII by covering a part of the registration fee. Students from low currency countries that will present a paper will be prioritized. The exact amount of support will be determined on the basis of the applications received. Please send a brief application to Arne Løkketangen  by March 5. The applicants will receive our decision by March 12.

TRISTAN VII starts with the Get together party on Sunday June 20 at 1900 hrs, and finishes with the Farewell party Friday June 25 at 1800 hrs. The scientific program starts with the opening session Monday June 21 at 0830 hrs, and finishes Friday June 25 at 1700 hrs. Minor changes of these times may be necessary. See 'Program' for details.

We have sent notification to all authors by email today, and we have opened for revision of extended abstracts with deadline March 1, 2010. Authors of accepted papers that will not be presented at the conference are kindly requested to inform the organizing committe as soon as possible and by March 1 so we may invite additional papers. Authors that have not received the notification email should check their spam filter.  If it is still missing, the Organizing Committee should be contacted as soon as possible.

Due to missing referee reports, we have not been able to finalize
the selection process. The expected date of notification is February 8.
We will not open for registration until notification has been given.
