- How to maintain and preserve the biomass quality, with emphasis on food applications?
- Which methods and tools can be used for monitoring and control?
- How to prepare for scale-up of the seaweed industry and scenarios for the growth?
These are questions that we have tried to answer in the ERA BlueBio project "QualiSea". The webinar will present some of the outcomes from this project, where the aim has been to solve current and future challenges of the supply chain for cultivated seaweed, with emphasis on the food and feed markets. The questions have been approached from two sides, a biological, related to the biomass quality and preservation, and a hardware and modelling oriented, on tools for monitoring and tracking, logistics and supply chain design.
