Håkon has been a research scientist at Sintef Helgeland AS since 2022. Before this he worked at Jotun Performance Coatings for five years where he was a senior R&D chemist in the powder coatings group.
Håkon was on a full time assignment to Freyr Battery from 2022 to 2024 where he supported Freyr’s establishment of battery production in Freyr's Customer Qualificaiton Plant in Mo i Rana, Norway. For the second half of 2024 he was an employee at Freyr and not at SINTEF.
Education
MSc in materials science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) 2011. PhD in Engineering Design and Materials 2016, with the thesis "Natural Superhydrophobic Surfaces - Nanostructures and Wetting States on Collembola Cuticles"
Competence and research areas
Materials chemistry, corrosion, paint and powder coatings, superhydrophobic surfaces, battery manufacturing.
