Sites

In addition to the three main sites (Rataren, Tristeinen and Korsneset) we have one "flexible" site in use. Together these four sites covers all different smolt releases and several environmental conditions such as fjord and exposed site.

All sites may be reached with our boat and are connected to the SINTEF network. A commercial fish farming company administers the sites and we have well established routines and procedures for carrying out research.

It is also established infrastructure on cage and feed barge. Among others, this includes cabinet for data acquisition with various interfaces.
All this makes SINTEF ACE a unique facility for independent data acquisition as well as testing and demonstration in a commercial setting.
