Visual Query Formulation for Geospatial Data
In this thesis, you are expected to develop a visual query formulation tool for geospatial (i.e., location oriented) data for aiding domain experts to extract data of interest from the data sources encoded in RDF (a data model used for exchanging data on the Web).
Domain experts working in the industry such as geologists in oil and gas domain have to request data they need from IT experts, since they do not have technical skills and knowledge to formulate queries (e.g., SQL) to extract data from databases. This introduces long delays for domain experts for accessing data.
