This webinar will explore the possibility of substituting fossil fuels with waste-derived alternatives, and applying oxyfuel and chemical looping combustion (CLC) technologies in the waste-to-energy (WtE) sector as a means of capturing CO2 emissions.
It will feature both researchers and industry experters, who will discuss the viability of retrofitting WtE plants with oxyfuel and CLC technologies. To do this, they will refer to recent large-scale pilot tests, further challenges to scaling up technology, corrosion potential, and impact assessments (TEA/LCA). The webinar will also feature an operator’s perspective, and an outlook on further experimental upscaling of CLC technology.
