CO2 emissions in refineries and industrial clusters come from various equipment, such as catalytic cracking units, hydrogen production units, and furnaces, each with different flow rates and concentrations of CO2. Combining CO2 sources for post-combustion capture could save costs with respect to installing single CO2 capture sections for each source. However, figuring out the best way to cluster and capture CO2 is complex and depends on factors like emission points, distances, and available resources.
In this webinar, Elettra Vantaggiato, research scientist at SINTEF Energy Research in Work Package 8 of ACCSESS, will present on the value (or lack thereof) of clustering in two very different case studies, and evaluate the effect of clustering in wide ranges of operating conditions and layouts.

About ACCSESS Lunch Webinars
ACCSESS Lunch Webinars are a series of 20-minute presentations, followed by a Q&A session. The presentation will be recorded, but not the Q&A and discussion that follows. You can view the recordings from the webinars on YouTube.
