The CEMCAP project ends on October 31, 2018. Our final public dissemination event, the Workshop in Brussels on October 17 (organised by ECRA and co-hosted with H2020 project CLEANKER) is already fully booked.

In order to share the CEMCAP results with a wider audience we arrange two webinars on October 29. During these webinars, four of the CEMCAP papers from the GHGT-14 conference will be presented, and it will be possible for participants to ask questions. The webinars will be recorded and made accessible from the CEMCAP website.

Webinar 2, Monday October 29, 13.00 CET

  • Techno-economic evaluation of five technologies for CO2 capture from cement production presented by Stefania Gardarsdottir, SINTEF
  • Techno-economic analysis of Calcium Looping processes for low CO2 emission cement plants presented by Matteo Romano, Politecnico di Milano

In this webinar, a presentation will be made of the CEMCAP technoeconomic evaluation of CO2 capture for cement production, including a presentation of the spreadsheet that has been developed in the project and now is made publicly available. Thereafter, the second presentation will go more in-depth on the techno-economic evaluation of Calcium Looping technology for CO2 capture from cement production. There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions after each presentation.

There will also be a Final Webinar 1 on the same day, registration and information on Webinar 1.

In addition to these webinars, CEMCAP presentations will be recorded and made available on the CEMCAP website of the following topics (list may be expanded):

  • Oxyfuel clinker cooler prototype: operation and clinker analysis by Marco Lino, VDZ
  • Demonstration of Calcium Looping CO2 capture for cement plants at semi industrial scale by Matthias Hornberger, IFK, University of Stuttgart
  • Simulation, modelling and optimization of different chilled ammonia-based process configurations for CO2 capture applied to cement plants by José-Francisco Pérez-Calvo, ETH Zürich

  • Membrane and membrane assisted liquefaction processes for CO2 capture from cement plants by Rahul Anantharaman, SINTEF
