This process, often called waste-to-energy (WtE), produces heat and power from burning waste. By integrating CO2 capture technologies on WtE, these plants can be transformed into negative emissions systems that not only manage waste but also actively remove CO2 from the atmosphere.

In this webinar, Amy Brunsvold, Task Leader of Work Package 7 in ACCSESS and Research Manager at SINTEF Energy Research, will explain how the complex interplay between air pollution control systems and carbon capture processes can be optimised to ensure smooth integration while complying with stringent environmental regulations. Furthermore, she will share experiences and lessons learned from WtE operators and CO2 capture technology providers.

Presenter: Amy Brunsvold (SINTEF Energy Research)

About ACCSESS Lunch Webinars

ACCSESS Lunch Webinars are a series of 20-minute presentations, followed by a Q&A session. The presentation will be recorded, but not the Q&A and discussion that follows. You can view the recordings from the webinars on YouTube.
