SINTEF will participate in the International Meeting for Applied Geosciences & Energy (IMAGE) 2024, held in Houston from August 26-30, 2024, showcasing the progress on some of our research and innovations.

We will report on our efforts in geophysical monitoring of near-wellbore events, such as leakage and cement integrity failure, using borehole wavefields. Additionally, we will discuss using wellbores as antennas during CSEM monitoring of CO2 and present the latest findings on the effects of partial saturation on elastic properties at seismic and ultrasound scale during various cycles of drainage and imbibition. Furthermore, during the post-convention workshop 8 on Geological Carbon Storage and Reservoir Characterization Toward 2050 Commitment, we will leverage over two decades of CO2 storage monitoring research with our partners to provide an overview of our advancements, detailing refinements to traditional monitoring methods and exploring emerging new techniques.

SINTEF will be contributing to the following
