In the ROBPLAN project we are developing methods for AI-based planning and acting - AI planning - to enable robust autonomous robot missions. In the project, we focus particularly on industry use cases within inspection and maintenance (I&M) robotics, but results are also applicable to other domains such as agri-food, healthcare and manufacturing.

As part of the ROBPLAN project, we are organizing a webinar to showcase industry needs and technology-enabled possibilities with AI planning. The workshop program encompass both results from the ROBPLAN project, as well as inputs from other international researchers.

Agenda

  1. Introduction (Aksel Transeth, SINTEF)
  2. Use Cases and Needs in the industry:
    • Use cases and needs for robotics in the energy industry. By Svein Ivar Sagatun and Christian de Jonge, Equinor – an energy company.
    • Autonomy in confined-area inspection with UAVs, By ScoutDI – a drone developed and provider
  1. State of the Art and Practice in Automated Planning
    • Integrating automated planning in robotics solutions. By Andrea Orlandini, CNR, Istituto Di Scienze e Tecnologie , Italy.
    • Automated planning in I&M. By Bjørnar Luteberget, Synne Fossøy and Frederic Py, SINTEF.
  1. Q&A and Discussion

The agenda may be subject to change.

The webinar is initiated within a project called “Autonomous Robot Missions with AI-Based Planning and Acting (ROBPLAN) and organized in collaboration with the AI, data and robotics I&M topic group in ADRA, the I&M robotics topic group in euRobotics, the AI and Cognition in Robotics (AICor) topic group in euRobotics, the JARVIS EU project (GA no. 101135708), Nemonoor, the NAINE and RINVE network, as well as the RIMA Alliance.
