The Department of Maritime Transportation Systems focuses primarily on logistics and ICT. In the field of logistics, we concentrate on the design and management of maritime value chains, fleet optimisation and vessel concept analyses, while our areas of expertise in ICT include technologies for autonomous vessels, applied maritime communications and digital information processing.
SINTEF Ocean`s largest clients in this area are major Norwegian cargo owners and shipping companies.
