These experimental activities are further enhanced by our state-of-art commercial and in-house modeling tools such as Thermo-calc, Micress, Alstruc and PreciMS. The combination of experimental and modeling tools has led us to address the design of the following industrial alloys:
- New Al alloys for high pressure die casting with the post-consumer scrap
- High strength, corrosion resistant and low carbon footprint Al alloys
- Recycling friendly green Al alloys
- Additive manufacturing alloys with customized mechanical and functional properties
