This applies to the commercial as well as the technical activities. iShipping 2017 in Copenhagen testified to this with, among others, Maersk and Bahri presenting their perspectives on digitalization. SINTEF Ocean was also at the conference and presented our "Shipping 4.0" vision, where the need for open standards and data exchange as well as a more systematic approach to information ownership in the shipping sector was particularly emphasized. These issues were also the theme for a round table discussion which was well attended and provided very interesting points of view from the industry.
