Blocked pipelines/reduced flow in the pipelines are normally caused by hydrate formations and wax deposition on the pipe wall.
SINTEF Energy Research have developed the DEH method where currents are conducted through the steel pipe. The method leads to asignificant reduction of chemicals injected in conventional methods for unblocking pipes.
