The project worked to prepare the ground for large-scale European facilities producing hydrogen and electricity from fossil fuels with CO2 capture and permanent storage.
DYNAMIS investigated viable routes to large-scale cost-effective co-production schemes for hydrogen and electricity with full integrated CO2 management.
The project was devided in these subprojects:
- Power plant & capture technology selection
- Product gas handling (H2 and CO2 )
- Storage of CO2
- Planning and Pre-Engineering of Plants
- Societal anchorage of a HYPOGEN demonstration

European Carbon dioxide Capture and Storage (CCS) Projects mapping
The following illustrations map the ongoing research in CCS, the planned projects and the operational projects. They are mapped as separate groups and also in total. Most maps are developed to see how the different capture and storage co-ordinates relate to each project. A timescale plot is also provided. Please refer to this website when using these illustrations.
- All CCS projects
- Only off-shore storage CCS projects
- Only on-shore storage CCS projects
- Operational CCS projects
- Planned CCS projects
- Research projects (EU funded)
- All CCS projects plotted along a timeline
