The research combines expertise from both primary and secondary care, along with new ICT solutions. The project works closely with an innovative commercial project (IPN) for the industry businesses, where IMATIS AS develops applications for tablets and smartphones. This will enable people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or other chronic diseases to be independent in their own homes. The applications will include features for monitoring disease and prevent deterioration of health, social contact and training. IMATIS also test a prototype of a monitoring center, already installed in Region Zealand, Denmark, to evaluate and improve the solution for use amongst others within alerting and notification.
