Here, the goal is to establish a Big Data platform which will underlie the development of models and prototypes in the project. The platform will be based on the reference structure, and use Azure as an implementation basis. The models and analyses in the project will be linked to Big Data reference structures. Because the distribution network operators have different suppliers for their smart meters, generic domain-independent analytics techniques will be deployed for the four focus areas, and there will be a generalisation of results from these back to the platform components.
