Hubs4Circularity are socio-technical ecosystems for full-scale industrial symbiosis, industrial-urban symbiosis, and circular economy. These hubs aim to close energy, resource, and data loops at the regional scale, serving as a critical building block to achieve climate neutrality targets by 2050.
The two consortia, H4C Europe and H4C European Community of Practice, are collaborating with the H4C demonstration projects to develop a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) for Hubs4Circularity. They will also define business models and promote funding and financing opportunities to enhance industrial and industrial-urban symbiosis, and circularity. Working closely with stakeholders from industries, regions, and cities, the project will identify further research and development gaps necessary to support the Hubs4Circularity vision. Ultimately, the two consortia aim to create a community of practice.
