An urban perspective on local mental health and addiction services

The shift of responsibilities from specialized health services to municipal health services in the areas of mental health and substance abuse has received increased attention in major municipalities in recent years. The municipalities are questioning whether this shift has gone too far concerning the patients with severe mental illness.

Using mixed-methods, i.e., by conducting both register data analyses, surveys, and qualitative case studies in some of the municipalities, the project aims to increase knowledge about intended and unintended.
