CO2Value

The CO2Value project transforms CO2 emissions from industrial sources into sustainable feed ingredients, advancing carbon capture and utilization technology, supporting carbon management, and enhancing aquaculture sustainability within a circular economy framework.

Contact person

CO2Value addresses a pressing environmental and industrial challenge: transforming CO2 emissions into valuable, sustainable products. With growing demand for alternative, eco-friendly feed ingredients, this project was created to reduce Norway’s aquaculture reliance on traditional feed sources, while significantly cutting greenhouse gas emissions.

This project aligns with Norway's goals to reduce CO2 emissions by 2030, supporting both national climate objectives and global food security. Through advanced carbon capture and fermentation technology, CO2Value captures biogenic CO2 emissions from industrial processes and converts them into nutrient-rich ingredients for aquaculture feed.

The project employs cutting-edge infrastructure and pilot plant trials to test and optimize each step, ensuring both scientific reliability and industrial scalability.

This innovative project includes both academic and industrial partners with the expertise to accelerate sustainable solutions for feed production.
