System analysis of second generation biofuel production from high temperature gasification under Norwegian conditions

This article deals with the system analysis of biomass to liquid fuel (BTL) production under norwegian conditions. The use of torrefied wood chips compared with raw wood chips in the centrallized BTL plant. Product yield, energy efficiency, annual woood savings are evaluated via process simulation using aspen plus.
