Abstract
As it becomes profitable to extract oil and gas from smaller reservoirs,
jumpers (t-offs) connected to the main flowlines become necessary.
Hydrate management of these jumpers may be solved by electrical
heating systems. This requires development of new subsea electric
power components. The most vital component is a transformer
qualified for marine applications as this transformer shall be supplied
by utilizing the main flowline heating system (DEH). Copyright © 2014 by the International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE)
