Abstract
1. At the EU IST Event 2006 ""Strategies for Leadership"" in Helsinki, Finland, November 21-23, the EU-Canada networking session on November 23 had about 50 participants and featured more than a dozen presentations by Canadian and European institutions looking for partners for new projects, especially for FP7. Ewald Quak, Technical Manager of the IST Network of Excellence AIM@SHAPE on sjhape modelling (www.aimatshape.net ) presented the AIM@SHAPE project's Digital Shape Workbench as an eScience collaboration tool and invited Canadian partners to join in using and further developing this tool. There were also live demos of the available results of the network at its project stand in the IST Event Exhibition called AIM@SHAPE : Modelling and understanding knowledge related to visual media.
