Abstract
A calculation tool, "LNG-Chain", for prediction of the gas quality in various parts of a small-scale LNG chain is developed by SINTEF Energy Research. The tool is designed to calculate representative values for an LNG chain consisting of a small-scale LNG carrier, a main distribution terminal, an LNG truck and a distribution terminal. The calculation tool is based on the first principles of thermodynamics and the assumption of equilibrium between gas and liquid in all tanks. The results from the program are compared with previously reported measured and calculated results. The results show a good comparison with experimental and calculated data.
