Structural Dynamics Research Scientist

Structural Dynamics Research Scientist

SINTEF Ocean is searching for new and curious researchers to work with the dynamics of marine structures for offshore application. Our research is focused on several applications, such as traditional offshore oil and gas, and new offshore industries like offshore wind, fish farming and deep sea mining. We work with development of analysis methods, and we carry out laboratory tests in our Marine Structures Laboratory and Ocean Basin. We also develop numerical tools and commercial simulation software and perform independent verification analysis using these tools and software. Our research projects are funded largely by international companies and Research Council of Norway. Thanks to our offshore experience obtained in the past three decades, we are in a unique position in the emerging offshore wind industry by providing a complete solution for dynamic power cables, from design, manufacturing, installation, monitoring, and operation to decommissioning.
