About the Department Biotechnology and Nanomedicine

Biotechnological processes are used to make important products such as medicines, vaccines, biomaterials, enzymes, food, feed, chemicals and energy. For over 35 years, SINTEF has built up expertise and infrastructure in biotechnology, which contributes to society's need for better use of resources, new medicines, products and fuel.
