This WP will specify the two ship types to be used as case examples in the project. The basic idea is to cover one relatively small boat operating on short distances near shore, e.g. a river or canal crossing, and one larger craft for distances in covered water and up to a few kilometres in distance, e.g. operating in a fjord or between islands. The details will be developed in this WP and input to the safety measure work in WP3. WP4 will also integrate proposed new safety measures into the analysis framework that WP2 will use to assess the efficacy of the new measures.
