Since it was founded in 1995, the main objective of the company is the design, develop, manufacture and post-sales services that allows the company to be a reference in Tuna Fishery Sector.

One of the main areas of the company is the R&D department, where there are 13 people working to design and develop all new satellite communication technologies for an improvement in fishing activity efficiency. Our main product, the echosounder buoy, has an advantage for the fishing sector as it can detect tuna from long distances, which turns into a reduction in fuel consumption. This product was first launched in 1996 and since then, it has had as many changes as necessary for its adaptation to the customers’ needs.

Other business line is the manufacturing of satellite communications and positioning systems, which are needed in the day-to-day of all around the world fishing activity. As our market covers all the oceans, we have a strong international distribution with contact points all over the world.

The main characteristic of the company is that through the control of all processes, is able to offer an immediate response to the needs and requirements of customers. ZUNIBAL can adapt the product and service to each customer’s or research’s needs. Aimed at the Fishery Sector and in particular the tuna fishing vessels, Zunibal is in constant evolution, with new developments adapted to future demands in the researching field.

The major task of ZUNIBAL in the project is to incorporate the final anti-fouling substances into the buoys for testing them in laboratory and at sea.
