Developing processes is a challenging and important task, which has a crucial impact on the final plant design and cost. Process Design Center has proven that by application of PROSYN® and other structured tools & methods it is possible to realize cost and energy savings up to 20 – 50% (!) versus state-of-the-art processes. PDC's expertise in conceptual process design, techno-economic evaluation, energy efficiency and sustainability bridges the gap between R&D and industrial implementation.

Main tasks of PDC in the C123 project are conceptual process design, integration and optimization, as well as life cycle costing and impact assessment. Furthermore, PDC leads the work package on techno-economic and sustainability assessment.
