Active homes (Finalised)
A smart grid is not only about using newer, smarter technology such as sensors, machine learning and batteries to increase security of supply and grid flexibility.
It is also about the end user, i.e. the customer, and how we consume electricity.
Tariffs may incentivise customers to change their consumption in order to reduce peak loads in the grid and thus reduce the need for investments in the future. To find out which tariffs to choose, CINELDI and Elvia are running the pilot project Active homes, investigating how different tariffs and/or communication messages affect end-user-flexibility, helping Elvia decide on which tariffs to choose for the full roll-out.
Different tariffs have been evaluated. Now, the most promising tariffs are being tested in Active homes.
