The research conducted over the recent years has been about defining ways of strengthening the user's position and aspects relating to usability in the systems development process. For this research they have received funding from the Swedish Council for Work Life and Social Sciences (FAS) and Swedish Council for Innovation Systems (Vinnova) previously the Swedish Council for Work Life Research (RALF). They have also built up a network of industrial organisations that have an interest in the research consisting of 15 smaller and bigger organisations. The research is truly multidisciplinary and has its base in technology, engineering, computer and system science, behavioural science, design and work environment.
