The first task of RA4 will be to identify limitations and domain for application of biomass control instruments in sea cages, with a main focus on use of the technical solutions and the implementation in the sea cage context. A successful result for the measurement is a result of the technologies capacities and fish distribution, combined with the knowledge and skills of the operator of the system. This research area aims to aid development of effective systems and procedures for use and operation of instruments to maximize output of precise and predictable measurements. The work will be done in close cooperation with RA1, RA2 and RA3 to implement and document new integrated solutions and user interface in large salmon cage systems. Foresee and visualise the next generation integrated biomass control system, from the view of the operator of biomass control systems.
