SINTEF
SINTEF is the coordinator of FlexiMan project. SINTEF has a deep history in the development of industrial research on additive manufacturing and is recognized as a key resource in Norway and Europe. SINTEF has significant contributions to the development of hybrid manufacturing approaches to combine AM with conventional manufacturing processes and to produce multi-material components. SINTEF will support the industries in the project to develop manufacturing strategy which enables producing competitive maritime parts with the required quality.
SINTEF is a board multidisciplinary organization with international has a deep history in the development of industrial focused research on additive manufacturing and it is recognized as a key resource in Norway and Europe. SINTEF has made a significant contribution to the development of hybrid manufacturing approach that enable combining of materials and manufacturing processes. This technology has been used for tools and parts by the production industry in Norway. This is the technology that SINTEF wish to bring it to its research partners to give them the newest and most efficient available technology to improve their competitive edge.
Two entities, SINTEF Industry (SI) and SINTEF Manufacturing (SM), will support the project consortium by executing complementary research tasks built on knowledge in process and product qualification and testing infrastructure.
