- March-20: Visit to the VTS Horten
- August-21: Installed two radars and a camera
The Integrated Maritime Autonomous Transport System (IMAT) project is pleased to announce that we have installed a camera and two radars that are now operational in the Trondheimsfjorden region. The two radars are located at Stadsbygd, Fosen, and at Pirsenteret in Trondheim. Maritime Broadband Radio is used to operate and transmit data from the radars to an information site in Trondheim. The project has also installed a camera at Pirsenteret that will be used to enhance situational awareness, especially when testing autonomous vehicles and vessels.
IMAT will shortly do a demonstration of the use of land-based infrastructure, as a valuable contribution to the research and development of new innovative technologies and processes related to autonomy.
