To obtain an overview of the input and output flows in Norway as well as stocks and volumes of plastic in use, a detailed data requirement will be outlined. As an initial step the product groups composed of plastic or those containing plastic as packaging will be identified. A product catalogue for the main product groups will be developed and will be a resourceful guide to understand the applications of plastic across the different industrial sectors and households. An evaluation of the available trade statistics for import and export of the identified product groups as well as manufacturing in Norway will be done.
