Partners
The project will be carried out as a close collaboration between the main partners; SINTEF, WWF, Deloitte and the PLASTICENE reference group. The project partners complement each other and have extensive experience of coordinating and participating in research projects financed by e.g. RCN and EU.
SINTEF will be represented in the project through four institutes: SINTEF Ocean, SINTEF Industry, SINTEF Community and SINTEF Helgeland. SINTEF has long experience in studying materials flow, circular economy, chemical composition, and environmental impact of a variety of chemicals and materials, including plastic, in natural environments. Additionally, SINTEF has wide experience in leading projects and work packages on stakeholder involvement, co-production of knowledge, scenario analysis, participatory perception workshops, science-policy interface, and communication in general.
Deloitte AS is a main project partner and will lead WP2 on plastic material flow and value chain in Norway. Deloitte has experience from several studies related to circular economy of plastics, including an MFA of plastic packaging in Norway and mapping the regulatory framework for plastics in Norway. Deloitte has wide experience from reviews and evaluations for private and public sector involving workshops with stakeholder groups.
WWF Worldwide Fund for Nature, Norway will be one of the main partners in the project and lead WP4 on Multi Level Governance. WWF is one of the largest environmental organizations in the world, and WWF Norway is a part of the global WWF network. WWF Norway is working towards “No Plastics in Nature”, and is leading the network’s work towards a global, legally binding agreement to stop marine pollution.
House of Knowledge (HOK) will mainly work in WP4, with their expertise on Serious Games to support business decisions and trigger the participants’ curiosity, facilitate strategic reflection and stakeholder contributions and coming up with scenarios that provide insight and understanding on how to proceed or not to proceed in a given situation for different actors. They will develop a tailor-made Serious Game for PLASTICENE and facilitate workshops.
