The second SecREEts Policy Council took place on 30th September as part of the EIT Raw Materials Summit. This year, we discussed the importance of a stable and sustainable supply chain for rare earths, and critical raw materials in general, in view of reaching the EU Green Deal’s ambition for a carbon-neutral Europe by 2050. This event followed the launch of the European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA) on 29th of September, an important initiative which will work towards making European economy more resilient by working on the challenge of securing access to sustainable raw materials and diversifying European supply chain.

During this event, we welcomed a panel of speakers from various industrial sectors which will play a key part in rolling out the Green Deal. Take a look at our report to find out more about their conclusions.
