The Multiphase Flow Assurance Innovation Centre (FACE)

The June status meeting and workshop will be held on May 31 and June 1 in Oslo, Norway. The arrangement will be held at Park Inn at Gardermoen airport, Oslo, Norway. The hotel is within walking distance from the terminal. Please make your travel arrangements as soon as possible and book your hotel room at your earliest convenience and before May 16. The meeting will start at 9.30 on May 31 and finish at 14.00 on June 1, and it will be followed by the Reference Group meeting scheduled from 14.00-16.00.

The June meetings in FACE are traditionally arranged as a combined status meeting and workshop. We will devote a session to briefly review the project status, but will spend significant time on discussing technical details and the way forward.

We have also invited Professor Antonio C. Bannwart from State University of Campinas, Brazil, to give a keynote lecture on heavy oil transport. Furthermore, June 1 2011 is the official FACE HSE awareness day. We have invited Dr. Grethe Rindahl from the IO-center (one of the other Centers for Research based Innovation) to give a keynote lecture on HSE, virtual teams and integrated operations. Further keynote lectures will be given by Professor Olivier Masbernat (Uni. Toulouse, France), Luis Rojas-Solórzano (Uni. Simon Bolivar, Venezuela) and Dr Jo Jernsletten (Shell Technology Norway).
