  • Halvard Thon presented the EU project Sure2Coat during the Europe's Corner workshop in Lleida, Spain
  • The workshop dealt with EU projects with thermal energy storage, a central theme in Sure2Coat
  • The workshop content fitted well with the Sure2Coat ambition which is to look at products where it can be beneficial to replace steel with aluminum as a material in heat exchangers in thermal energy storage
  • A pilot that SINTEF will design, and build at its site in Norway was presented
  • The pilot will evaluate surface-treated aluminum in heat exchangers with corrosive phase transition materials
