Eirik Falck da Silva

Eirik Falck da Silva is a research manager at SINTEF, specialising in solvent-based CO₂ capture. In addition to being an expert on CO₂ absorption, he is also extremely knowledgeable about many technological developments within the field of CO₂ capture, as well as CCS in general.

Eirik holds a PhD in this field from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and has a technical background in physical chemistry and chemical engineering. He has previously held positions as a senior research scientist at SINTEF, programme manager for gas treating R&D at Shell, and senior CO₂ scientist at TotalEnergies. He has been an important contributor to the development of Aker Carbon Capture’s CO₂ capture technology and the Cesar 1 capture technology.
