Berghof leaching reactor is a hydrometallurgical vessel to study leachability of materials.

The reactor has a volume of 18-20 L and works at atmospheric and high pressures up to 5 bar, and up to 250 °C.

Field of use

To digest metal-bearing minerals and compounds to solutions for further metal recovery.

Typical example is the alkaline leaching of calcium aluminate slags to produce sodium aluminate solutions for further aluminum hydroxide precipitation.
