Sammendrag
The Norwegian Football Association is responsible for creating the schedules for the topmost football divisions. Before the 2007 season SINTEF ICT was asked to help in the planning process. This talk will summarize our work on the problem, highlighting the motivation for creating new patterns and discussing the modeling of the problem as an integer programming problem. We will share some of our experiences with practical planning and present some constraints that may provide inspiration for future work in the field.
