A new open publication "A micromechanical model of fiber bridging including effects of large deflections of the bridging fibers", is developed in the DACOMAT project and has now been published in Composite Structures. The new model can be valuable tools for studying the underlying mechanisms of fiber bridging and how to utilize this phenomenon to maximize the fracture resistance and damage tolerance of composite laminates.
