Rehabilitation with “Zero Hindrance” and Innovative Rehabilitation Measures - Compendium of Tools and Methods

Abstract

Heavy traffic in congested urban areas and increasing goods transport on land and water requires rehabilitation measures for existing infrastructure like roads, railway, tunnels and bridges with a minimum hindrance for the daily passenger traffic and commercial transport. Innovative construction techniques, communication methods, and advanced procedures provide nowadays time and cost effective maintenance. The main objective of the project is to describe the state of the art of innovative tools for maintenance and rehabilitation measures. The compendium gives an overview over worldwide existing methods, materials, instrument and installations which provide environmental friendly, cost and time effective solutions without or at least with minimised hindrance for the infrastructure users.
