Abstract
Understanding users’ behaviour and expectations is a prerequisite for providing services tailored to their needs. We conducted a survey with 2,400 users to determine when, why and how they used a web-TV service and whether they were satisfied with it. In this paper, we present the preliminary results of this study. Our results show that the major motivations for using this service were related to content and flexibility. Furthermore, when describing their satisfaction with the service, the users took into account the effects of the equipment and network connection on their experience.nderstanding users’ behaviour and expectations is a prerequisite for providing services tailored to their needs.
