Robotics and drones for inspection and maintenance of offshore and onshore energy infrastructure

Abstract

SINTEF will present its latest research, development and testing of robotics (incl. drone) technologies relevant for renewable energy plants. To this end, we will summarize the main areas of use for robotics and overall business cases with focus on inspection and maintenance of infrastructure, and present new results on task/mission planning, path planning and control for robotics, developed in collaboration with our industry partners. Finally, we will give a brief introduction to some of the ecosystem in AI, data and robotics for inspection and maintenance in Europe (e.g., topic groups and innovation networks in the AI, Data and Robotics Association (ADRA) and euRobotics).
